By now you’ve seen the new Corner Bar sign that replaced Parrish’s at 1002 E. Jackson Avenue. Former owner Parrish Baker had been searching for a buyer for quite some time and finally found one a few months back.

A revamped menu debuted a couple of weeks ago, featuring items such as grilled cheese bites, grilled sandwiches and burgers. The kitchen is open Monday through Saturday for dinner as well as Fridays and Saturdays for lunch.

Pro Football Star Opens Oxford Restaurant

14 Aug

Former Ole Miss football player Kendrick Clancy, who went on to play for the Giants, Cardinals, Saints and Steelers, is now gearing up for an entirely new game—the restaurant business.

When I stopped by the future location of Kendrick Clancy’s Locker Room Grill & Bar today, which is between Chow Tyme and IHOP on Jackson Avenue, construction was well underway. Management told EatingOxford.com that the restaurant should be open by the end of the month; definitely by the first Ole Miss home game against BYU on September 3rd.

UPDATE 10/18: The Locker Room is now open!
