Nov. 17: Community-Wide Tailgate

10 Nov

What if you could enjoy all of the perks of tailgating—food, beverages, mingling, watching the game on the big screen—without having to set up a tent, and while supporting a good cause?

Saturday,  November 17, the Young Professionals of Oxford are opening up The Lyric for Our Team, Our Town, a community-wide tailgate benefiting the Pantry.

Ole Miss vs. LSU will be on the big screen while you enjoy free food from local restaurants, an Ole Miss-themed photo booth, a cash bar and a silent auction.

Tickets are $10 at the door and doors will open one hour prior to kickoff (1:30 p.m.). For more information, visit the groups event page on Facebook here.

Appetizers, Chocolate and Burlesque?

3 Feb

Talk about gearing up for Valentine’s Day!

This Saturday (February 5), The Tennessee Tease Burlesque will be performing along with a magician at the Powerhouse.

How does this relate to eating in Oxford? Well, you can purchase a general admission ticket for $10, or you can get a VIP pass for $15 and enjoy the opening reception (hosted by the Young Professionals of Oxford) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., which includes a drink, appetizers from Waltz on The Square, special front-row seating during the performance and a chocolate tasting from Holli’s Sweet Tooth.

There will also be a raffle to win gift certificates for Waltz on The Square and Holli’s Sweet Tooth along with bottles of Sweet Sunset chocolate wine.

The show starts at 8:00 p.m. and all proceeds benefit Oxford Medical Ministries. Tickets are available at the event or by contacting Lauren at 205-492-1943.
